Following the exciting news that Romelu Lukaku has
completed a return transfer to Chelsea, we take a look
at some of the key statistics from his colourful playing
career to date, which help highlight just how dangerous
the Belgian is in front of goal.
Lukaku began his professional career in the Belgian Pro League at
Anderlecht in 2009, where he made his debut as a 16-year-old and
played regular football there for three seasons. For over a decade,
the Belgian has dominated the scoring charts and arrives at
Stamford Bridge as one of the fiercest strikers in world football, as

So far in his club career, Lukaku has scored 251 goals in 508
appearances. He has also found the net 64 times in 98 games for
Belgium and is currently the country’s all-time leading goalscorer.

Lukaku scored his first Premier League goal against Liverpool in
the 2012/13 season while on while at West Brom. During his time
at Everton, he became the 12th quickest and the fifth-youngest
player to score 100 Premier League goals. He currently sits 20th on
the Premier League all-time leading goalscoring charts.

Last season, Lukaku’s goalscoring prowess led Inter Milan to their
first Serie A title in 11 years. In Italy, he scored an average of 0.75
goals for every 90 minutes he was on the pitch.

Under the watchful eye of former Blues manager Antonio Conte,
the Belgian played 2,887 minutes and netted on 24 occasions,
picking up 11 assists.

Lukaku has played 27 games in the Champions League after
making his goalscoring debut in a 3-0 Manchester United win
against Basel in 2017. So far, he has scored 13 goals in the
competition.

Lukaku also has an impressive Europa League record. After
making his debut for Anderlecht v AEK Athens in 2010, he has 20
goals in 33 games.
